Unlike sulphur which will destroy the hair follicle as it dissolves the matter inside of pimples, these two ingredients will protect the hair follicle. The fundamental purpose of acne cream is to destroy bacteria and breakdown the materials found inside of blackheads and whiteheads.

The side effects of these creams can very but the most common are mild skin irritation, discoloration, and burning of the skin. If a side effect is more than mildly uncomfortable for you, then you should consult a dermatologist before you proceed with using the cream.

The idea that acne can be treated and cured in just a few days by using a topical cream is a myth. Realistically, acne treatment takes about 4 to 8 weeks to reveal optimal results. It's also important to maintain a good diet and hygiene during this time.
